QTS Numeracy Skills Test
The Numeracy test lasts 48 minutes and is in two sections:
Mental Arithmetic
An audio test for which headphones are needed. (the use of calculators is not permitted in the mental arithmetic part of the test)
On-screen Questions
Interpreting and using statistical information and using and applying general arithmetic. (Use of the on-screen calculator only is permitted in this test)
Numeracy Test Marking
There is a total of 28 marks available in the Numeracy Test. Each question carries one mark. Each section carries the following points:
- Mental arithmetic - 12
- Interpreting and using statistical information - 7
- Using and applying general arithmetic - 9

QTS is a scam, the test are just wrong, I want to be an art teacher and couldn't give a damn about numeracy, I have a BA (HONS) and an MA and without this stupid QTS it has ruined my dreams to teach my favourite subject, its not worth worrying about! |

I am finding these sample tests really good practice. What is the pass mark? Just had a go on the Maths one and got 7/12 mental and 13/16 for on screen. I am applying for PGCE this year, but getting geared up now! |
